This place was great very spacious and really nice. it’s made out crates and really cool the sauna is made out of a crate as well. Honestly the only thing that would make this place any better is a hot tub on the deck.
We had such an excellent stay!! This place was beautiful, spacious, and in a great location- close to town but felt like we had our own quiet spot!
We will be returning to stay here again. Great place to wake up and watch the wildlife. Very peaceful place.

Had a short stay for snowboarding at Terry Peak but the place was beautiful. Amazing location, gorgeous views, and a beautiful home. Beds were super comfy, felt very homey, amazing kitchen and amenities. Would absolutely book again. Great location for going to Terry Peak and easy to grab a cab for downtown Deadwood.
Wonderful, affordable stay in the Black Hills. Close to Lead and Deadwood but still quiet and private.
We are locals, and we enjoyed the stayed. It was a beautiful peaceful place to just get away for the city. Secluded and perfect for a what we had planned for that weekend. Everything was clean and the beds were really comfortable.
Trailhound’s property is an unreal concept — three beautifully designed shipping containers tucked perfectly into the Black Hills. The space feels like a complete escape, yet you’re only a short drive from Terry Peak and super close to both Deadwood and Lead. The setting, the design, and the peaceful vibe all exceeded expectations. Truly one of the most unique and refreshing stays I’ve ever experienced. Can’t recommend it enough!

Great stay! Plenty of room for a group and great outdoor space for our dogs to run around. Also, had a personal issue when checking out and Tracy was so understanding and flexible with us! Would definitely stay again!!
This airbnb was absolutely stunning. The crates were really cool and it was fun to talk to people about it. The sauna was really cool and I would love to stay here again.

Cancellation policy
Refundable Bookings
Cancellation deadlines:
- For stays under 15 nights, you may cancel or reschedule up to 14 days before check-in for a full refund. For stays 15 nights or longer, the cancellation window is 60 days.
- For some homes, a 30-day deadline applies — this will be clearly shown before you book.
- Cancellations must be submitted before 4 PM EST on the deadline day to qualify.
Fair-Refund Policy
If you cancel after the deadline:
- Trailhound Cabin Co will relist your dates and automatically refund you for any nights that rebook.
- The refund per night will be the lower of the original price or the rebooking rate. Nights that do not rebook are non-refundable.
Half-Now, Half-Later Bookings
- The first half of your payment is non-refundable.
- The second half may be refunded according to the standard cancellation policy above.
Non-Refundable Bookings
If you selected a Non-Refundable rate at checkout, the booking cannot be changed or canceled, and no refund will be issued.
Date Changes & Rebooking
Once a stay is canceled, you can't rebook the same dates yourself. If you need help choosing new dates, our Concierge team is happy to assist.
Transfers to Another Guest
You may transfer your booking to someone else at no charge. Just contact the Concierge with the new guest's name and email. The new guest must accept the transfer for it to take effect.
Policy Match Guarantee
If a better price is available for the same property on Airbnb or the owner's site, contact the Concierge — Trailhound Cabin Co will match it.
