This early 1900s home was recently renovated and provides a perfect base for exploring the Black Hills. Only two blocks from Downtown Spearfish, it is an easy walk to great restaurants, coffee shops, live music during the summer's Downtown Friday Nights, Spearfish Creek, and the Farmers Market. Enjoy summer evenings on the front porch or riding one of the provided bicycles by the creek. A one car garage provides shelter for vehicles. The fully fenced back yard features a fire pit! No house parties please. We ask that you respect our house and neighbors. Thanks! You’ll have access to the whole house. Enjoy it as a second home! We are always available to answer any questions or help out in anyway. You can message us through the Airbnb app or give us a call. We want to make your stay as comfortable as possible, so please do not hesitate to reach out! The neighborhood is in a very safe part of town, with plenty of parks nearby. You’ll be located very close to downtown with grocery stores, coffee shops, small businesses, and restaurants. Free private parking.

We had a fantastic stay here and will definitely be back! The house is beautiful and extremely comfortable. The location absolutely cannot be beat! Everything from coffee to dinner to shopping is just a quick walk. We took our dogs everywhere and they enjoyed the trip as much as we did. The fenced backyard was a huge plus. Host Tracy was welcoming and wonderful to communicate with. I accidentally left a piece of jewelry behind after checkout, and when I reached out to Tracy she very thoughtfully already had it packaged and ready to mail. We travel a lot and this was one of our all-around favorite stays. Highly recommend!!

We loved using your historic home as our home base. It is perfectly situated for traveling west into Wyoming and east to Wall, Deadwood and Mt. Rushmore. Even with a short amount of time we were able to see a lot and are looking forward to staying with you again. Your house is charming and the yard perfect for our small doggie. Thanks again. Great place to stay. Very clean, great location as far as proximity to BHSU and downtown options. Our hosts were wonderful and the cleaners do a wonderful job. Thank you for allowing us to stay.

Cancellation policy
Refundable Bookings
Cancellation deadlines:
- For stays under 15 nights, you may cancel or reschedule up to 14 days before check-in for a full refund. For stays 15 nights or longer, the cancellation window is 60 days.
- For some homes, a 30-day deadline applies — this will be clearly shown before you book.
- Cancellations must be submitted before 4 PM EST on the deadline day to qualify.
Fair-Refund Policy
If you cancel after the deadline:
- Trailhound Cabin Co will relist your dates and automatically refund you for any nights that rebook.
- The refund per night will be the lower of the original price or the rebooking rate. Nights that do not rebook are non-refundable.
Half-Now, Half-Later Bookings
- The first half of your payment is non-refundable.
- The second half may be refunded according to the standard cancellation policy above.
Non-Refundable Bookings
If you selected a Non-Refundable rate at checkout, the booking cannot be changed or canceled, and no refund will be issued.
Date Changes & Rebooking
Once a stay is canceled, you can't rebook the same dates yourself. If you need help choosing new dates, our Concierge team is happy to assist.
Transfers to Another Guest
You may transfer your booking to someone else at no charge. Just contact the Concierge with the new guest's name and email. The new guest must accept the transfer for it to take effect.
Policy Match Guarantee
